is there any way we could make the scrolling boxes a little smaller? and more elongated shaped (but smaller)? so that you can see more than TWO choices at once?
I just uploaded some new GUI stuff to the dropbox under art assets. I think our current interface looks really harsh and too "in your face" for the delicate background colors and anime art style. I through together a rough of what the game would look like with the GUI I made. It's just an option I wanted to throw out to everyone
On buttons, the max response will be about 70 characters (half the length of a tweet). That means that the buttons must be as large as they currently are to support three lines. It doesn't show it up there, but there are some responses that take up the whole button. The only way to shrink button size down to an "eloquent" size is to have the responses be only one line (~35 characters). If you want that to happen, talk to the writers. Other than that, I really love when my own placeholders (exception being the button) are kept in the game basically until release and/or stay in release. If you give me assets, I will put them in the game.
Does anyone want to meet up a earlier in the day for the Beta? I have the last of Male #2's expressions as well as some new GUI options. It won't make it into the Beta I'm sure, but there is only a week left so I'm throwing out everything I got. I have an appointment at 5pm with a realtor so if we meet sometime before then that would be good.
Sorry I've been out a lot. Houses are selling the very first day they hit the market so I have to run off with realtors as often as I can. I've already had two houses snatched away from me so I'm getting more aggressive.
Ah good news! I got my house hunting time pushed to earlier so I can make it to the Beta showing. I might be a bit late, but better late than never. I uploaded the GUI to the dropbox, but I will bring it and my other images to class via jumpdrive.
